Pledge to make a difference, together.
The ultimate goal of Spay Neuter Kingston Initiative is to facilitate the opening of a high-volume, spay/neuter clinic in the Kingston and surrounding area, based on the self-sustaining model used by the Humane Alliance, open to all members of the public regardless of demographics or income.
In keeping with our Mission Statement, S.N.K.I.runs a T/N/V/R (Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return Program. We work with "managed" feral cat colonies in the Kingston and surrounding area. To date we have facilitated the fixing of close to 200 cats and kittens.
Cats - those that are deemed "social" enough and kittens born to cats in our managed colonies are taken in to our Cat Foster/Adoption Program. All cats are fixed before being adopted into their forever homes.
S.N.K.I. has recently added a Dog Foster/Adoption Program which focuses on dogs listed as "urgent" or with behavior problems at risk of entering the shelter system. All dogs are fixed before being adopted into their forever homes.
