Ottawa Therapy Dogs (OTD), was established as a chapter of Therapy Dogs International (TDI) in early 2000, and in 2003 was incorporated in Ontario as a not-for-profit charity. In 2006 it became an independant organization, locally administered. OTD aims to offer both Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) & Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) to those in the community who can benefit from the therapeutic effects of the human-animal bond.
