Pledge to make a difference, together.
National Service Dogs pioneered service dog training for children with autism in 1996.
Since then NSD has proven that properly trained and certified autism service dogs can: •increase safety levels and alleviate the bolting behaviours common in children with autism by acting as an anchor when tethered to the child •improve a child’s socialization and behavior skills •expand a child’s capabilities to experience more of life and to grow •calm children thereby giving them an increased attention span and a greater aptitude for learning
Each child/dog team represents an 8-10 year commitment from NSD and is valued at $30,000. With the support of donors like you we are able to provide autism service dogs at no charge to children in need.
In March of 2011 NSD launched a program to provide Skilled Companion Dogs to veterans with post traumatic stress disorder. Please consider lending your support to this new program today!
