Our Mission

The Brant Historical Society operates the Brant Museum and Archives, and Myrtleville House Museum. Through each museum, the Society offers a variety of programs and services that explore the unique heritage of our community.

The Brant Museum & Archives, located at 57 Charlotte St., provides an overview of the history of the City and County and the Society has operated this museum since 1910. It houses our archives and research facilities, as well as our sizeable collection of artefacts.

Myrtleville House Museum, located at 34 Myrtleville Drive, is one of the oldest homesteads in Brantford. A Heritage Canada Foundation property, the home has been restored to reflect early nineteenth century lifestyle. The BHS took over the daily operations of this site in 2008. Myrtleville is the destination for much of our family and children's programming, special events, and summer camps.
