Krabbe Connect works to improve care and accelerate research for people affected by Krabbe disease by connecting patients, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers. The organization focuses on patient-centered education, support programs, and building research networks to advance treatments and newborn screening.

Our Impact
Patients and families living with and/or caring for someone with Krabbe disease face enormous challenges. Out-of-pocket medical expenses, large deductibles, unpaid time away from work, supportive therapeutic interventions not covered by insurance, medical equipment, and monthly over-the-counter supplies are just a few of the many struggles that Krabbe families face daily. Through KrabbeConnect’s Patient Assistance Program, we help ease some of the medical/financial burden so families can focus their time and energy on taking care of their loved one impacted by Krabbe disease.
