WDSRA's mission statement is "the development of individuals through recreation" established to provide recreational services and support to individuals who have a disability or are in need of specialized assistance in recreational activities. Swimming teaches a child with with Down's syndrome how to swim; Ceramics encourages a teen on the Autism spectrum to explore their creativity; and Spring Fling Prom invites adults with any disability out for a special night of dinner and dancing among their peers.
