Our Impact

B
Beaver Creek Wetlands Association posted an impact story

Since 1988, we have worked tirelessly to protect and restore the Beaver Creek wetlands corridor that expands more than 2,400 acres. Our goal is to educate the public as to how vital the wetlands are to our community in the greater Dayton, Ohio region. Wetlands are some of the most endangered ecosystems on the planet. Since the 1700’s, 90% of the wetlands have now been eliminated in Ohio. When wetlands are drained for new developments, environmental benefits such as water filtration are lost. When preserved, wetlands naturally filter, remove sediment and toxins from the water as they replenish the underground aquifer.
