Our mission is to strengthen the resilience and climate adaptation capacity of vulnerable communities facing wars, conflicts and the effects of climate change in the Lake Kivu basin region and Virunga landscape in the East of the DRC, through 3 main areas: 1 . Land restoration and reforestation, 2. Renewable Energies (Clean cooking, Rural electrification, Installation of micro hydroelectric and solar power plants, biogas) 3. Providing agricultural and agribusiness services to small farmers. AJVDC Brigade Verte is also involved in climate campaigns, notably Fossil free DRCongo.
