Athens Makerspace is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 aiming to provide accessibility to various technologies. It is a physical space that provides access to tools and equipment to traditional and digital technology. It has fully equipped laboratories in many sectors, such as Plastic Upcycling Lab, 3D printing, Laser cutting, Carpentry, Silk Screen printing etc. Our main source of funding is European & Greek State funding programmes (Erasmus + , Ministry of Environment etc.), Foundations & institutions, Services to individuals and Companies (Laser Cutting, 3D printing, Upcycling Products etc) and Memberships.
We provide membership to those who need to use our space personally or professionally We provide educational seminars of many sorts, mainly hands-on workshops or machine learning for all ages in different levels. We offer exhibitions and presentations for larger groups. We undertake small and large projects for customers and companies as a service. We run classes for our community and members. We are developing new solutions to upcycling plastic waste and produce new 100% recycled products. Laser Cutting and recycling plastic are the most popular services we provide so far.
