UCAA is a faith-based human rights organization that advocates for the inclusion, dignity, and well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals in Uganda, engages inclusive faith leaders to lead change. Its mission is to use faith as a tool for mindset change, promoting love, compassion, and respect for all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The organization works through programs such as research and documentation, dialogues, socio-economic empowerment, and psychosocial support. UCAA-UG also challenges harmful religious narratives by providing affirming theological perspectives that uphold human rights. In the long term, the organization envisions a society where religion and faith are a force for justice, inclusion, and equality for all.
