Pledge to make a difference, together.
Our mission at Farm Lot 59 is to incubate and inspire the culture of urban farming in our community through education, food accessibility, and by serving as a model of regenerative agriculture practices.
We envision a world where our farm is a hub for connection and hands-on learning — a place where you can learn how to grow your own food, explore healthier ways of living, and discover pathways to meaningful local work. Through our Farm to Food Bank program, we provide fresh, nutrient-rich vegetables to our neighbors in need. Our two social enterprise flower shops help fund this work, turning the beauty of our farm into support for the community. And through outdoor education programs, we invite students, volunteers, and visitors to dig in, learn new skills, and see what’s possible in urban farming.
We believe in cultivating a healthier, more resilient future — a future where everyone has access to fresh food, opportunities for meaningful work, and the tools to live sustainably. Everything we do is grounded in the principles of responsible agriculture, hands-on education, and creating equitable access to fresh, nourishing food for our entire community.
Empowered over 8,000 people in our community with hands-on lessons in urban farming, gardening, flora culture and healthier living through sustainable practices.
In 15 years, we have grown over 100,000 pounds of produce and over 20,000 bunches of flowers.
Farm Lot 59 is a nonprofit urban farm in Long Beach dedicated to sustainable agriculture, food justice, and community education. The farm offers hands-on learning, volunteer opportunities, and two social enterprise flower shops that support its mission. 🌱 No Poverty – We strive to create economic opportunities by providing meaningful work, supporting local farmers and artisans, and ensuring fair access to fresh food. By fostering a local food system, we help build financial stability for small-scale producers and community members in need. 🥕 Zero Hunger – Everyone deserves access to healthy, fresh food. Through education and partnerships, we work to reduce food insecurity by growing and sharing nutritious produce, teaching sustainable farming practices, and supporting local food distribution efforts. ❤️ Good Health & Well-Being – Fresh, chemical-free food is essential to good health. Our farm serves as a resource for wellness, offering access to nutritious produce, hands-on learning opportunities, and a space where people can reconnect with nature and each other. 🌍 Responsible Consumption & Production – Sustainable farming and ethical sourcing are at the heart of what we do. We prioritize environmentally friendly growing practices, minimize waste, and encourage mindful consumption through seasonal, local, and responsibly grown flowers and food. By supporting our work, you’re not just investing in a farm—you’re investing in a future where food is grown responsibly, communities thrive, and everyone has access to the resources they need to live a healthy life.
