almost 4 years ago — Chameau, Haiti

New Life for Haiti built its first cistern in Chameau, Haiti in the late spring/early summer of 2021. In October 2021, we raised the funds for our next Cistern project in Quinton, Haiti, which will begin in January 2022. Currently, we are raising funds to build a cistern in the community of Plik, Haiti, to honor the life of a little girl named Kencia Romelus who died there in November 2021 from a water borne illness.

New Life for Haiti's motto is, "You can wish the world was a better place, or you can choose one place and make it better." We have chosen the rural, remote Grand Anse River valley in the southern peninsula of Haiti, where no other organizations are working, as OUR place. Along with local leaders, we are working to meet the needs of families and children through education, clean water, better access to health knowledge, and agriculture. We are a Christian, 501c3 organization and share our love for Christ and His message while we come alongside people in meeting basic needs and promoting self-sufficiency and hope for a sustainable future.
